I was lecturing on Daniel at the Presbyterian Theological Centre this morning. We were discussing how to apply Daniel 12 to our lives. As we talked I remembered the following helpful questions, which can help us to understand the relevance of a Bible passage we are reading or studying or perhaps preaching on:
- Is there a command to obey?
- Is there a warning to head?
- Is there an example to follow?
- Is there a sin to confess?
- Is there a lesson to learn?
- Is there a doctrine to understand?
- Is there a blessing to share?
- Is there a promise to claim?
- Is there a reasonĀ for praise and thanks?
No doubt other questions could be added to this string. Maybe others will find them helpful.
