This is the first of three sermons on 2 Peter. Chapter 1 is concerned with inward thinking, with a special focus on ensuring the development of certain character-qualities. Chapter 2 concerns wayward thinking, the threat posed by false teaching. Chapter 3 has to do with forward thinking, looking ahead to the certain fulfilment of the promise of Jesus’ return and the ushering in of the new heavens and the new earth.
